I was unsure how suitable this programme would be for a ‘mature’ person but it shows variations for all levels of fitness. The upbeat approach of the trainer is encouraging and I felt inspired to keep going, even when the going got tough. I am now going to continue the programme as, for me, accountability is necessary for success. I would recommend dipping your toe in, even if only for the first 9 week programme to see if it is suitable for your own needs.

I took the free 3 day challenge which encouraged me to try the 9week plan. I loved it! I found it easy to follow; nothing is overwhelming or too difficult, but you really feel you are making progress. I definitely feel less stiff, stronger and fitter so I’ve just signed up for the one year plan. It’s understandable to feel sceptical about online offers, as I was, but this is real – it does not feel money grabbing; the quality of Emma’s instruction and support is excellent. Thank you Good Nick👍

Hi, I am in week 9 of the Goodnick programme. It’s been quite a challenge for me as I am not into fitness! I have really appreciated Emma’s approach, encouraging us and skillfully building up our levels of flexibility, strength and fitness. Results are subtle but significant, and as a result I am going to join the Club, just in the ‘nick of time’!

This has been such fun, from the moment I started the three day challenge to now in my 8th week of the starter programme. It has also been a challenge, to do more than I think I can and a revelation that more is possible! I planned to do new things in my 70’s and this is certainly something I would never have imagined doing. I’m looking forward to a whole new me in the future programmed that I’ve signed up for. Thank you Emma, Supercoach!!

I am very wary of the many fitness plans for older women advertised on social media, having been caught out in the past. Goodnick is genuine, supportive and easy to ask questions. The classes are progressive and very easy to fit into the day or catch up on if you miss one. You are accountable within the small group doing the classes at the same time, which gives us incentive and encouragement, whatever health issues we may have. Highly recommended

Why “keeping active” often isn’t enough anymore

Most women are told to walk more, stretch, or take it easy. Walking, Pilates, yoga and physio all have their place. But on their own, they don’t give your body the one thing it needs more of as you get older:

Progressive strength and balance training.

And that’s the missing piece.

Why “keeping active” often isn’t enough anymore

Most women are told to walk more, stretch, or take it easy.
And walking, Pilates, yoga and physio all have their place.
But on their own, they don’t give your body the one thing it needs more of as you get older:

Progressive strength and balance training.

And that’s the missing piece.

As we age, the body needs specific, progressive strength and balance work to:

  • reduce stiffness and aches

  • rebuild confidence after injury or illness

  • prevent falls and loss of mobility

  • maintain independence

Without it, even active women can feel less steady, less strong, and less confident over time.
That’s not your fault, it’s just biology, and the good news is, it’s all totally fixable. You just need to follow a tried and tested system that actually works.

Proof that life gets bigger with age

Our members aren`t slowing down – doing more of what they love. From lifting grandchildren without a twinge to being able to fall back in love with gardening.
These bold women are proof that strength, energy & fitness don`t fade with age.

Goodnick Vs Others

But why 9 weeks?

But why 9 weeks?

Quick fixes have never worked, and never will. Strength, balance and confidence don’t come from one-off sessions or 14 day trials that promise quick results. They come from consistent, progressive effort over time.

Nine weeks is:

  • Long enough to feel what regular exercise does for you and feel lighter.

  • Short enough to stay achievable and motivating.

  • Optimal time to build a habit you can easily fit into your daily routine.

  • Carefully structured to build gradually — never abruptly.

You don’t rush strength. You build it one step at a time, so you can get meaningful results.

Feel confident you’re doing it safely.

At Goodnick, our mission is to provide the care, attention and support of a personal trainer for a fraction of the cost. That’s why we provide real human coaching support directly into our programme, included at no extra cost.

Frequently asked questions

Most programmes are just a load of generic videos with no structure, progression or support. Goodnick is different because it is created specifically for women over 60, built on decades of fitness experience and approved by our Chief Medical Advisor, Dr. Dan Reardon. Instead of giving you loads of random classes, we have structured our programme in a way that will progress you week to week, without overwhelming you, focusing on gentle strength, easing stiffness and safe movement patterns that create lasting change.

On top of that, no class is ever the same, so you’ll never repeat a class (unless you really want to), meaning you’ll always make progress, never get bored, and finally stick to something like you’ve never done before.

It’s simple. Try the programme and see how it feels. If it is not right for you, email us at hello@goodnick.com, and we will return your full payment with no questions asked. We don’t want to get paid for something that doesn’t work for you.

Our classes are 20 minutes, this includes clear instruction and motivation from the coach. We feel 20 minutes is a manageable amount of time that you can fit into your everyday life.

Our classes are pre-recorded so you can pick the time that suits you best to complete your class, however we aren’t a self paced course and you will be assigned a live support and accountability coach who will encourage you and oversee your progress to make sure you are getting the classes done. We have structured our programme so you complete 4 classes per week.

We deliver 4 classes per week. They are delivered on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday morning at 6am via email, and can be completed at a time that suits you.

You can also access your classes via your Goodnick login to the online platform, showing all available classes.

All we ask is that they are completed for Sunday so that that week is signed off before we progress you onto next week’s classes.

Absolutely! We understand that life can get busy, so the programme includes built-in rest and catch-up days.

Our suggested weekly structure is:

  • Class days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday
  • Rest/Catch-up days: Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday

This gives you a healthy balance between activity and recovery while allowing flexibility if something unexpected comes up. All we ask is that all four classes are completed before Sunday night so we can tick that week off and progress you on to the next week so that you keep up the pace and progression at the rate we want for you to get the best results.

You’ll have full access to all classes for the entire duration of the programme, so you can revisit or catch up on any sessions within that time frame. If however you find yourself in unpredictable circumstances you can always reach out to our customer service team and we will be happy to advise.

Access to the classes ends once the 9-week programme is complete. However, in certain circumstances, we may be able to extend your access for a short time — just reach out to our customer service team if you need support.

Yes, absolutely! During the duration of the programme of your choice you can replay any class as often as you like — whether you want to refine a movement, rebuild confidence, or simply enjoy a favourite classes again.

The programme will continue as normal over the Christmas period. You’ll still receive your emails and have full access to all classes. Our coaching team operates on a reduced schedule, but there will always be someone available if you need assistance or guidance during that period.

We have many members who are in a similar situation that have greatly benefited from the programme, but everyone is different. It’s designed at beginner level and should absolutely help with your aches, pains and mobility issues, however careful consideration will need to be had to see how well you tolerate it and progress each week.

Thankfully we start at a very easy level so you will have plenty of time to get accustomed to movements and structure each week before the levels progress. At this point you can see how well you do and amend anything you need to. You will also have a Support Coach that you can reach out to for guidance and advice regarding any specific exercises you are having difficulty with.

To give you peace of mind we offer a full money back guarantee so if at any time you feel the programme is not right for you, please just let us know and we will give you your money back, no questions asked. So either it will work for you, or it won’t cost you a penny.

All you need to complete the classes is:

  • A device to watch the classes on, this can be your smart phone, iPad, laptop or smart TV.
  • Clear space at home to exercise
  • Study chair or countertop
  • Exercise matt (If needed)
  • Cushion (if needed)
  • Light weights (this can be filled water bottles or tins from the cupboard)

A lot of our members, after completing the initial programme, decide to continue on with Goodnick with our on-going classes with a monthly membership. We tell you more about this as you progress through the programme of your choice but this is the opportunity to build on what you have started and add to your strength and fitness in further weekly cycles.

You can find information online, but not a proven system built specifically for women over 60. Goodnick removes the confusion by giving you clear, safe guidance created with our Chief Medical Advisor, Dr Dan, and refined through years of work and investment.

With Goodnick, you’re not just following videos; you’re learning from experts, supported by trainers with decades of experience and a caring community, and getting answers directly from a doctor, fitness experts, coaches and trainers. It’s everything you need in one place, designed for your body and your stage of life.

The programme is designed so that complete beginners can start with confidence, using simple and safe movements that match your current ability. You are always guided at a pace that feels right for you. And if you already live an active and healthy lifestyle, you will still gain significant benefits from the focused strength, balance and mobility work that supports women over 60.

Yes. Many of our strongest success stories come from women who believed they were not naturally flexible. Flexibility is not about forcing your body into difficult positions. It improves when you build gentle strength, control and confidence in the movement you already have. Our programme is designed for women over 60 to progress safely from any starting point, including those who feel stiff or limited.

Yes. Three weeks is enough to see noticeable improvements in strength, balance and daily mobility, especially with a programme designed specifically for women over 60. With safe, guided movements developed with input from Dr Dan, many women feel stronger, less stiffness and more mobile within a few weeks.

You can always reach out to us at hello@goodnick.com and our team will support you. You will also be part of an active WhatsApp community where our trainers and coaches guide you and answer your questions. If you have a health or movement question, you can ask Dr Dan directly during our Goodnick Clinics or send it by email. You are fully supported throughout the programme.
